Hiking in the forest
There are several easy trails for hiking in the forest,
Horseback Riding
If you enjoy horseback riding you can visit several of the small villages around Cerro Azul by horse, the area is sparsely populated but there are local bars and resturants for a typical Costa Rican meal and getting to know the neighbors.
Chill out by the Pool
The tiled pool steps down from the front terrace, its very tempting to just spend the day by the pool enjoying the view and the quiet peaceful surroundings. At an altitude of 3,000 feet the temperature is always pleasant.
Watch the Sunsets
In a soft chair, with a cool drink, watch the sun dip into the ocean. As the sky darkens you'll hear the night birds begin to call out, and then, look up . . . you'll see more stars than you ever knew existed.
